Breakaway 2008 took place at YHA National Forest, in the East Midlands on the 2nd-5th May.

Following the success of the first weekend, the organisers extended the break to 3 nights. The accommodation offered 2-4 bed rooms - all en suite, a bar and bistro. There was (of course!) the last night disco and party.
Breakaway offers the chance for families and young people to meet, talk about and share their experiences in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The main aim though, is to have fun!
Activities included canoeing, climbing and archery.

Dietary requirements were catered for.
The cost included full board and all activities.

Funding support was available.

There was support and advice from stoma nurses and camp counsellors who have first hand knowledge of living with bowel or bladder diversions.
